RE: Bremner, Bird and Fortune
I have an idea which may appeal to you for the show. As we await the release of Elizabeth the Golden Age why not have Rory and team hark back to the original film Elizabeth. Rory, plays the part of Gordon Brown dressed as Elizabeth I. The character is dismayed and confused that all is falling apart. Running through the dark corridors of the House of Parliament as he bemoans how all is going wrong, he collapses against a pillar and turning sees a potrait of Tony Blair dressed as King Henry VIII. Looking at the picture he weeps and is interrupted by a character playing Lord Walsingham...who you get to play Walsingham is up to you, but it could be Michael Foot coming back from the dead with the desire to help the young Gordon....Hope it helps and love the show.
Your sincerely
Jerome Fagan
PS: I suppose the thought of Gordon arriving at the Brussels dressed in armour on a white horse shouting to the EU leaders "I may well have the mind and body of a weak willed Prime Minister, but I have the heart and stomach of a.....well it was a thought.
